The Amazing Money-Making Secrets Of A Desperate Nerd From Ohio

The Amazing Money Making Secrets of A Desperate Nerd From Ohio. This is one of the first main stream ads that people became introduced to Gary Halbert. The copywriter the marketing legend. This ad appeared in numerous newspapers all over america.

This was a full space display ad with this photo of Gary and a " Story " of a crazy idea that he had to make money. And how everyone thought he was crazy but he did it anyway and finally he had 20,000 checks per day coming into his business.

This then led the prospect down into ordering a inexpensive book. But this was only the beginning of the Gary Halbert experience, because as everyone knows the real money is made in the back-end products.

What would happen next would be, after you order the book you would recieve Gary's famous dollar bill letter. This would consist of you getting a #10 personal envelope with a dollar bill at the top. And then there would be a letter inside of copywriting genius compelling you to become a member of Gary's newsletter subscribers.

And let's just say it worked very well. Of course the copywriting genius knew exactly what he was doing.

Gary Halbert's Coat Of Arms Letter

Gary Halbert's Coat Of Arm's letter is on of the most famous direct mail letters of all time. Letters like this one rarely come around like this one. A one page letter with 361 words that brought in as much as 20,000 checks a day. To say that is rare would be an understatement.

The story behind this letter is as exciting as the story of Gary Halbert him self. For a one page letter to work it truly has to be a irrisistable offer. Something that deep down inside the prospect has so much desire for that they have to have what Gary is selling.

It's an amazing story when Gary use to talk about when the coat of arms letter really hit big and he was making so much money that he had to hire so many local women to process the thousands of checks a day and he actually had to rent an entire floor of a building beside the bank just to process the orders and money comiing in.

Gary went on to tell the story behind this letter at many of his seminars and it became a legend in the marketing field. The legend of the coat of arms letter has never been duplicated and it never will be.

Gary Halbert Copywriting

He has been called a legend, the greatest copywriter of all time. The prince of print. Anyone that has ever read a Gary Halbert ad would immediately discover it was Gary's. He just had a certain flow to his writing.

Much of his own personality came out in his copy. Over the years he found a formula that worked for him, you could call it a certain sequence of copy, and he stuck with it.

As he said in a seminar Michel Fortin " You will get bored with your copy process before your prospects do". And it's true.

He seem to have one of those " love him or hate him " personalitys. But his copy was amazing and could be matched by no one. Copywriters admired Gary's style and the way he wrote.

He had a certain way of captivating a prospects interest and keeping them glued to every word and sentence that Gary wrote, right down to the 1-800 number or what ever ordering process.
